Join us for the Evanston Grows party and fundraiser, Sowing & Growing,  Friday, September 20!

Our Sowing & Growing 2024 Celebration promises to be a festive evening of food, frolicing and fun!  We will come together to celebrate Evanston Grows’ and our partners’ accomplishments of providing over 20,000 pounds of delicious, fresh organic produce and food free for Evanston families. This special evening will kick-off with a happy-hour in our lush farm at Faith Temple, across the street from Fleetwood-Jordain Community Center.  Enjoy the sounds of West African Djembe Drummers as you  take in the beauty of this abundant space, while mingling with other local good food advocates, neighbors and growers.  The evening will continue with a “garden-forward” dinner, the menu curated by local chefs and restaurants, at the Fleetwood-Jourdain. Then, the fun continues with a lively dance party featuring a live DJ!

Evanston Grows in an urban agriculture collective that grows organic produce in Evanston to improve health equity and reduce food insecurity. Through the four farms we staff and operate ourselves and the 12 partnership gardens, we will grow over 10,000 tons of produce in this, our second year.
