Vineyard FARM

2495 W. HOWARD STREET

Work on Vineyard Farm began in the fall of 2022, with the first growing season taking root in spring 2023. Since then, the farm has flourished, producing thousands of pounds of organically grown produce that is distributed through the on-site Greater Chicago Food Depository pantry, increasing access to fresh, healthy food for the community.

Vineyard Church generously transformed a once weed-filled field into a thriving urban farm by partnering with Evanston Grows. Under the leadership of Director of Farm Operations Matt Ryan, the space has become a vibrant example of what community collaboration can accomplish. The project was made possible in part through generous support from the Garden Club of America's Founders Fund Grant.

As the familiar rumble of the nearby "L" train passes by, it serves as a constant reminder that this is urban farming at its finest—growing fresh food, cultivating community, and creating green space in the heart of the city.
