The Ecology Center's mission is to offer educational programs to local residents that will foster a greater appreciation, awareness and knowledge of the environment.

Seed Sharing, Gardens, Education, Food Forest, produce sharing and support for new gardeners
Edifye is a non-profit organization that connects professional athletes and other platformed entertainers to the municipal and mutual aid issues that they care about. Soon Edifye will be engaging the community to establish Mama’s Garden at Mason Park.

Evanston Food Exchange, in partnership with Family Focus Evanston, plants, maintains, and harvests 21 raised beds which are part of the Foster Street Urban Agriculture Program. Produce is distributed weekly to neighbors and families who participate in the educational programming.
Connecting Evanston Arts & Evanston Homemade Food Initiatives
The Evanston Public Library promotes the development of independent, self-confident, and literate citizens, providing equitable access to cultural, intellectual, technological, and information resources.
18+ raised beds providing weekly fresh produce to the neighboring communities. In 2022 the students from Curt’s Cafe will be working with local farmer and educator Matt Ryan to tend and harvest the Fleetwood-Jourdain Garden.
The mission of the GCE is to increase knowledge and love of gardening through photography, design, history, floral arranging, conservation
Empowering individuals and families to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness since 1983.
Interseed LLC offers garden/farm consultation, design and construction, and management services. Additionally, Owner/Farmer Matt Ryan directs the Edible Acre at ETHS, and is working with Curt’s Cafe students at the Curt’s Garden and Fleetwood-Jourdain Garden, as well as consulting Evanston Grows on other gardens throughout the community.
The Levy Senior Center is located in the southeast corner of James Park on Dodge Ave. and offers a wide variety of programs and classes, including health and wellness classes (ranging from low-impact aerobics to Zumba); and classes in the arts such as wood working and ceramics. Starting in 2021, the Levy Center features a thriving ADA accessible vegetable garden which they will be expanding in the 2022 growing season.
Monica Fox’s mission, in her words, is to help non-profits tell their stories. Her storytelling spans more than 35 years of production experience in the film and video industry. Monica has been telling the story of Evanston Grows since April 2021, as you see in the photos throughout this website.
Aims to improve and develop sustainable career pathways for Evanston high school students seeking careers that do not require a four-year college degree.
A micro-warehouse community grocery store with an online marketplace and brick & mortar store at 810 Dempster St. in Evanston . This wonderful grocery primarily sources from farms using organic and regenerative practices. Co-owner Matt Wechsler has a fantastic, in-depth garden knowledge of how to grow healthy, sustainable local food.
